江州音頭、ドンパン節、ヤットン節を多様な解釈でアレンジ。

時代と世代をかる〜く超えた、ondo-band サンポーヨシのニューBONダンスミュージック。

「サンポーヨシ」は、京都市左京区を中心に、各地区で廃れてしまった盆踊り大会を復活させる地域密着の活動の中で生まれた、伝統と新しいスタイルを融合させた音頭ミュージックのライブバンド。このアルバムでは、盆踊り会場のライブ録音、スタジオ録音に加え、メンバーによるクラブ的なアプローチのミックスも何曲か折りまぜている。

Japanese traditional dance songs (called "Ondo" or "Bon-dance") and their mixes in lofi/hiphop/raggae/jazz style.

The name of the band "Sampoyoshi" means "Good for three directions (seller, buyer, world)". It was the old philosophical attitude of the "Oumi" area merchants, and there "Goshu Ondo" song was actually born. This area is now called as "Shiga prefecture", that is known as the one with the largest lake in Japan "Biwa-ko".
"Donpan Bushi" is a well known folk song in Akita area, that is located in northern part of the Honshu island. The main vocalist of the band, Wadako, originally came from there.
"Yatton Bushi" is an old folk song, that sings about the jealousy, weakness and laziness of common people.
